Ronald Birch, 76, resident of 654 Hill Dr., husband of Susan Rose Robertson Birch, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Roebuck, SC on August 1, 1941, he was the son of the late Austin and Lillie Mae Cox Birch. Mr. Birch was a 1960 graduate of Roebuck High School and retired from CSX Railroad.

A member of Rosemont Baptist Church, he was also member of the church choir where he sang Bass. He was a former… Read More » member of the Roebuck Masonic Lodge and the Hejaz Shrine Temple. He was an avid golfer playing at Rolling S and the Links at Stoney Point.

Surviving in addition to his wife Susan of the home are his three children, David Birch (Sherri) of Campobello, Dina Birch of Roebuck, and Tony Birch (Michelle) of Fort Mill, a step-son, John Coker of Fork Shoals, twin brother, Donald Birch (Linda) of Roebuck and a sister, Frances Lynch (John) of Boiling Springs, grandchildren, Meagan Birch of Campobello and Kelby Bond (Caiti), and great-grandchild, Ellie Reese Bond of Moore. He was predeceased by his brothers A.J., Ed, Fred, Joe Birch and sister, Betty McElveen. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 Pm Wednesday at Rosemont Baptist Church with Rev.

John Lynch and Dr. K.J. Shorter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kelby Bond, Randy Birch, Jerry Birch, Joey Birch, Luke White and Todd Warlick.

The family will receive friends at the church from 2 to 3 Wednesday afternoon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rosemont Baptist Church, 2267 Dillard Rd. , Waterloo, SC 29384.
