Clarence Thomas “Tom” Kilgore, 82, resident of Highland Drive, Greenwood, SC, husband of Joyce Yeargin-Kilgore, died Monday, April 9, 2018 at his home. Born in Anderson, SC, February 15, 1936, he was a son of the late Clarence Benjamin Kilgore and Olive Church Kilgore. Mr. Kilgore was a 1959 graduate of Clemson University and retired from Greenwood Mills after 37 years of service.

Surviving,… Read More » in addition to his wife of the home, are two daughters, Janice Carney and husband Dave, and Susan Marianos and husband Dean; four grandchildren, Kevin and Ryan Carney, and Michael and Katherine Marianos; a sister-in-law, Marian M. Kilgore; two step-sons, Michael Yeargin and wife Teresa, and Mark Yeargin and wife Kim; three step-grandchildren, Rebecca, Joshua and Jeffrey Yeargin and one step-great-grandchild, Aubre Yeargin. Mr. Kilgore was predeceased by his first wife, the late Linda Bowen Kilgore, and was also predeceased by his brother, Larry Kilgore.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Brown, Rev. Daniel Smyth, and Rev.

Mary Durden officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Wednesday morning. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson at approximately 1:30 PM Wednesday afternoon.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Carney, Ryan Carney, Michael Marianos, Joshua Yeargin, Jeffrey Yeargin and Randy Lee. Honorary escort will be members of the Fellowship Sunday School Class. The family is at the home in Idlewood.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark United Methodist Church, 550 Highway 72 Bypass NW, Greenwood, SC 29649 or to Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646.
