J. Wesley Hoy, age 94, of New Oxford, PA, died Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Health Care Center of The Brethren Home Community. Born April 30, 1924 in Frederick County, he was the son of the late James S. and Viola Blanche Bowman Hoy. He was the husband of Audrey Griffin Hoy, his wife of 73 years.

Mr. Hoy was formerly employed with Lehigh Portland Cement Company for 35 years, with the last 18 years in middle management, retiring in 1986. He was a former member of Union Bridge Church… Read More » of the Brethren. He enjoyed working in stained glass, wood carving and trains.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three daughters and sons-in-law, Andrea Jean and Donald Wilson and Joyce Marie and Earle Fritz, all of Union Bridge, Deborah Ann and Wallace Norris of Lakewood Ranch, FL; four grandchildren, Tawney Stitely, Kristi Wilson, Cheryl Shelton and Tim Fritz; great-grandchildren, Mandy Stonesifer, Tara Stonesifer, Kyle Shelton, Madelyn Shelton and Andrew Fritz; great great grandchildren, Gage, Aubree and Landon; sister, Martha Reid of Towson and brothers, Calvin Hoy of Union Bridge and Marvin Hoy and wife Sadie of Frederick. He was predeceased by a great granddaughter, Tori Stitely, sisters-in-law, Arlene Hoy and Gwendolyn Hoy and brother-in-law, Gene Reid. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
