JAMES’ Obituary James Allen Lindley, 72 years old of Burlington, WI, passed away Monday, March 18, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born July 13, 1946 in Evanston, IL, the son of the late Clarence Edward and Melba (nèe Ayersman) Lindley. His family moved to Antioch in 1957 where he graduated from Antioch Grade School in 1960 and Antioch High School in 1964.

James served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps and served in Vietnam in 1967 and 1968. In 1975, he married Vicki Regal and they settled in southern Wisconsin where they raised their two children. James is survived by his wife, Vicki; their children, Sarah “Jane” (Jeremy) Rompesky and Stephanie (Sean) Lindley; their two grandsons, Rylan and Ethan; his siblings, William Lindley, Carole Miller, Ed Lindley, Debbie (David) Fritsch, Pat Lindley; his favorite dog, Ruby; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bob; his sister-in-law, Bonnie and his brothers-in-law, Jim and Alan. Inurnment with Military Honors will be held at 3:00PM Monday, March 25, 2019 in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove, WI. Arrangements were entrusted to the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. Antioch, IL 60002.
