BRITTNEY’s Obituary Brittney Marlene Pomerantz, 26 years old of Antioch, IL, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019. She was born October 20, 1992 in Overland Park, KS, the daughter of the late David Pomerantz and Susan (nèe Nilson) Swanson. Her family moved to Antioch in 1997 and she later graduated from Antioch Community High School in 2010.

Brittney was a loving & caring girl, with a strong will and determination of her own from the time she was a toddler. She knew what she wanted and went after it whether others approved or not. She loved being with her family and friends.

She grew into a beautiful woman and amazing mother who adored her kids, Skylar & Lucas with all her heart. She was there for others, sometimes more than she was there for herself. Brittney may have struggled with life at times however, she helped so many people to find & maintain sobriety; worked to provide two scholarships for treatment through a fundraiser she initiated after losing her very best friend just one year ago.

Brittney will be missed by many, continued to be loved by all who she touched and never forgotten. Rest in Peace sweetie, mom loves you to the moon and back. Brittney is survived by her sons, Skylar Grace Wargo and Lucas Edward Wargo, Jr.; her mother Susan (Jeffrey) Swanson; her paternal grandmother, Arlene Pomerantz; her siblings, Chris Barred, Matthew Barred, and Izzy Young; her step-sisters, Tallulah Swanson and Evangeline Swanson; her aunt, Carol Tiegen; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Pomerantz; her paternal grandfather, Sheldon Pomerantz; and her maternal grandparents, Clarence (Dorothy) Nilson. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service commencing at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 3, 2019 at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. Antioch, IL 60002. Interment will be private.
