James “Allen” Shaw, 58, of Camden passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Friday, February 22, 2019. On September 13, 1960, Sylvia Joyce Wright and the late William Allen Shaw welcomed Allen to this world in Orlando, FL. On June 2, 2018 he married Donna Marie Walls.

She will greatly miss her husband after spending more than 14 years together. In addition to his wife, Allen is survived by his mother, Sylvia Baxter and husband, Paul, of Orlando, FL; one daughter, Summer Walls of Camden; one niece, Alexandria Doucette and husband, Michael, who he considered to be his own; two great nieces: Emma and Savannah Doucette; one great nephew, Garrett Walls; three sisters: Paige Eveland and husband, Dan, of Chattanooga, TN, Penney Ackerman and husband, Richard, of Deltona, FL, and Peggy Hoyt and husband, Lawrence, of Winter Garden, FL; several additional nieces and nephews; one step brother, David Baxter of Orlando, FL; one adopted grandmother, Betty Ingram of Weston; and six special friends: John Cole, Danny Prince, Jamie Ellingsworth, Chet Autry, and Merle and Jimmy Watson. Allen was a member of the Masonic Lodge #368 in Pinecastle, FL where he received the sublime degree of Worshipful Master in 2004 & 2005.

He was also a Shriner and a member of Grace Baptist Temple, Jane Lew. He was a hard worker who spent time farming, as a journeyman in the A/C & Refrigeration Industry and a pipefitter in Union 803. In his spare time, Allen enjoyed the conversations with his fellow HAM operators who knew him as WV4A.

He also spent time as a WV Hunter’s Safety Instructor because he loved to hunt himself. Above all Allen cherished his time spent with his family. He enjoyed playing with his great nieces and great nephew, whom he loved as his own grandchildren.

Allen’s request for cremation has been honored and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. The Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service located at 144 Hackers Creek Rd. in Jane Lew is honored and privileged to serve the family of James “Allen” Shaw.
