James’ Obituary Funeral services for Mr. James Derbonne will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, with Rev. Curtis Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Emmanuel Catholic Cemetery, Chopin, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.

Mr. Derbonne, 66, of Ruby, entered eternal rest on Monday, January 28, 2019 at his residence. James was a member of Heart of Worship Church, Pineville. He was a retired truck driver for C. Rodney McNeal Lumber Company.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and four-wheeler riding. James loved spending time with his family and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Mr. Derbonne is preceded in death by his parents, John, Sr. and Edith Derbonne and one sister, Theresa Black.

Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of forty-four years, Elizabeth Ann Bonds Derbonne of Ruby; two daughters, Paige Derbonne of Ruby, Mary Derbonne and her husband Rodney of Deville; one son, Chris Derbonne and his wife Carla of Pineville; two sisters, Mary Hastings of Pineville, Rose Merrell of Pineville; two brothers, John Derbonne and his wife Pat of Deville, Joseph Derbonne and his wife Lee of Pineville; four grandchildren, Tristen Derbonne, Troy Hicks, Mason Hicks, Amber Robson; one great grandchild, Cohen Robson and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Thursday January 31, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. until time of service. Pallbearers honored to serve will be Chris Derbonne, Nathan LaCombe, Brandon LaCombe, Jeremy Dupuy, Larry Martin and Stacy Bonds.
