Dorothy’s Obituary Funeral services for Ms. Dorothy Hodnett will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Zion Baptist Church, Williana with Reverend Dick Debusk officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Chapel Cemetery, Williana, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville. Ms. Hodnett, 83, of Williana, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Autumn Leaves Nursing Home.

Dorothy was a native and lifelong resident of Williana and a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, Williana. She was a retired teachers aid with the Grant Parish School Board after thirty years of service. Dorothy enjoyed cooking, camping and spending time with her family.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Ms. Hodnett is preceded in death by her parents, James and Nola Chelette and her husband of fifty-six years, Leon Hodnett. Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include one daughter, Pam Hardy and her husband Robert of Williana; one son, David Hodnett of Only, TN.

; three sisters, Margie Harvey of Dry Prong, Susie Atwood and her husband Al of Dry Prong, Inez Atwood of Colfax; four brothers, James Chelette and his wife Liz of Dry Prong, Robert Chelette of Williana, Floyd Chelette and his wife Lane of Dry Prong, Lloyd Chelette and his wife Gale of Dry Prong; four grandchildren, Jordyn Hodnett, Connor Hodnett, Jeremy Cameron, Briana Cameron and two great grandchildren. Friends may call at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville on Friday, January 18, 2019 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at Zion Baptist Church, Williana on Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
