Ronald’s Obituary Funeral services for Mr. Ronald Miller Chapman will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2019, in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale with Reverend Brian Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Blackjack Cemetery, Blackjack Community, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale. Mr. Chapman, 76, of Fairview, entered eternal rest on Monday, February 11, 2019 at Rapides Regional Medical Center, Alexandria, LA.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict and a cross country truck driver and a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 210 of Pitkin. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Pearl Chapman and one sister, Linda Hoskins.

Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include one sister, Gayle Hebert, of Oberlin; one nephew, Dewayne Chapman, of Fairview; one niece, Tina Johnson and her husband, Brian, of Oakdale; one great nephew, Caleb Johnson, of Oakdale; one great niece, Chloe Perkins and her husband, Ty, of Oceanside, CA. and good friends, Carl Webb, of Fairview and Tammy Dowels and her husband, Donny, of Shreveport. Friends may call at Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, February 15, 2019.

Visitation will resume on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Friends may post online messages of condolence for the Chapman family by visiting www.
