Bobbie’s Obituary Funeral services for Ms. Bobbie Chaffin will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery, Calcasieu, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville. Ms. Chaffin, 86, of Elmer, entered eternal rest on Sunday, January 20, 2019 in Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.

Bobbie was of the Pentecostal faith and was known for her generosity. She loved fishing, crocheting, quilting, sewing and garage sales. She also enjoyed canning and singing.

Bobbie will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Ms. Chaffin is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Versie Sanders; her husband, Gerald Henry Chaffin; one son, James Chaffin and four grandchildren. Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include five daughters, Geraldine Mayo and her husband Dan of Elmer, Brenda Lewis and her husband Johnny of Hineston, Sheryl Deville of Dry Prong, Christine Simmons and her husband John of Otis, Rita Warren and her husband Arliss of Colfax; two sons, David Chaffin of Tioga, Donald Chaffin of Pollock; four sisters, Jean Nixon of Sugartown, Lavonne Wyatt and her husband Arnold of Oberlin, Shirley Vastine and her husband George of Deridder, Bonnie Cobb of Texas; one brother, Johnny Sanders and his wife Winnie of Sugartown; twenty-five grandchildren, seventy great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.

Friends may call at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 12:00 noon until time of service. Friends may post online messages of condolences for the Chaffin family by visiting www. rushfh.com.
