Samantha’s Obituary Samantha Lachney, 47, of the Cotile Community, entered eternal rest on Friday, January 18, 2019 in Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital after a long struggle with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. The family is honoring her wishes that there be no services. After working in retail, “Sam” returned to school at LSUA and earned a degree in education.

Teaching first grade was her passion, teaching at Forest Hill and Rugg Elementary Schools. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her loving husband, Rodney Lachney; one daughter, Ema Kingston; her parents, Jimmie and Patsy Swallows of Cotile; her sister, Emily Langston and her husband Rob; her brothers, Richard Swallows and his wife Missy, Andrew and his wife Cathleen, Nina, James and Ethan Swallows; her English Family, Geoff, Derek and his wife Audrey, Andy, Tim, and his wife Mary, Ian and his wife Jackie Young of Garsington, England; her in-laws, Don and Hope Lachney; her brothers-in-law, Greg and his wife Lisa, Steve and his wife Susan, Jeff and his wife Fonda, Louis and his wife Christy, Eric and his wife Ellen; her sister-in-law, Gina; their children, Kyle and his wife Britney, Justin and his wife Rachel, Aimee and her husband Ryan, Erin and her husband Daniel, Chance and his wife Sara, Chelsea, Tabitha, Abigail, Ethan, Jordan, Haliegh, Maycee, Tanner, Tyler, Jacqueline and Shelby.
