Randy’s Obituary Funeral services for Mr. Randy Bordelon will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 28, 2019 at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn, Ball, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville. Mr. Bordelon, 52, of Alexandria, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Rapides Regional Medical Center.

Randy was a lifelong resident of Alexandria. He was a former Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Deputy and Alexandria Police Officer where he was a member of the S.W.A.T. team.

He was also the former manager of Appliance Parts in Alexandria. Randy was an avid hunter, fisherman and a jack of all trades. He enjoyed being outdoors, spending time with family and friends and always living life to the fullest.

His favorite quote was “Jesus is my hero”. Randy was a devoted father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Mr. Bordelon is preceded in death by his father, Charles “Frank” Bordelon and his nephew, Dustin Bordelon.

Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his mother, Betty Bonnette Bordelon; one son, Chris Bordelon and his wife Erica of Alexandria; four daughters, Courtney Ryland and her husband Eric of Alexandria, Ashley Bordelon of Alexandria, Kristyn Bordelon of Alexandria, Kayla Bordelon of Alexandria; one sister, Connie Gagnard and her husband Myron of Marksville; two brothers, Danny Bordelon and his wife Robin of Boyce, Mike Bordelon and his wife Linda of Alexandria; three grandchildren, Madyson Bordelon, Addy Grace Ryland, Molly Bordelon; numerous nieces and nephews and his best friend, Jimmy Howie. Friends may visit at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service. Pallbearers honored to serve will be Patrick VanDyke, Carla Whitstine, Bob Strother, Chief Jerrod King, Chris Nassiff, Cedric Green and Ronnie Howard.
