James “Jim” Clyde Hood, age 55, of Marion, North Carolina passed away Friday, July 20, 2018 at his residence. Jim was born November 16, 1962 in Buncombe County, NC to the late James Clyde Hood and Alana Beddingfield Hood. He was a member of Bee Tree Baptist Church in Swannanoa, NC and prior to his illness, he worked for Kearfott Corp.

in Swannanoa, NC. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Gail Hood in 2003. Those left behind to cherish Jim’s memories are three children, Jessica Hood, Kyle Hood and Justin Hood; four grandchildren, Orson Dyer, Olivia Fister, Lillian Fister and Bodhi Oneal; and two siblings, Jessica Hood and Justin Hood.

In keeping with Jim’s wishes, no services will be held.
