Obituary for James D. “Jay” Funderburg James D. “Jay” Funderburg age 58 of El Dorado, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 at his home, following a short bout with cancer. Jay was born on July 6, 1960 in Camden, AR to Sallie McHan Funderburg and James Doyle Funderburg Sr. Jay loved the outdoors and nature. He was an avid hunter and especially loved deer hunting.

His favorite pass time was his love for football. He was a devoted Wildcat fan, Razorback fan and Dallas Cowboy fan and spent his days watching football. He formerly worked for American Home Patient for nine years and later drove a truck for Concrete Service Co for several years.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Survivors include; his parents, Doyle and Sallie Funderburg of El Dorado; his wife, Nancy Edwinna Funderburg of Gilmer, TX; one daughter, Heather Allison and husband Michael of Overton, TX; two sons, Joshua Sinclair and wife Ayren and Dakota Funderburg and wife Casey all of Fayetteville, AR; four grandchildren, Tessa Allison, Lexi Allison, Page Funderburg and Kaden Sinclair; one sister, Genell Davis and husband Clif of Rison, AR; two nieces, Sassy Socia and husband Brandon of Rison and Alisa Clark and husband Andrew of West Monroe, LA; his faithful K9 Companion, CJ along with numerous cousins and friends. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 26, 2017 at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Roger Brown officiating.
