Obituary for James Ellis Dodson James Ellis Dodson Sarepta, LA A private family graveside service for Mr. James Ellis Dodson, age 83, will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, September 9, 2018, at the Cotton Valley Cemetery, Cotton Valley, LA. Interment will follow under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill. Mr. Dodson was born on July 1, 1935 to Johnnie Floyd and Dollie Pearl Sessions Dodson in Star City, AR and passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at is home in Sarepta.

He was a retired carpenter. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and he had a little dog named “Little Bit” who he loved very much. He is survived by his two daughters, Teresa Gulledge and Melissa Clark both of Chesterfield, SC; three grandchildren, Kailyn Clark, Eli Gulledge, Ethan Gulledge; and brother, Bobby Dodson and wife, Janet of Mena, AR.
