James E. Mitchell, Jr. was born on March 8, 1936, the son of the late Gladys Mitchell and James E. Mitchell, Sr He departed this life on February 27, 2019, at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware. James received his education in the public schools of Wilmington, Delaware.

He worked as a chef for the State of Delaware and later as a bail bondsman in the legal field. He was a devoted member and Trustee at Cathedral of Fresh Fire in Wilmington. Celebration of Life Service will be at 5:00 pm on Sunday, March 10, 2019, at Cathedral of Fresh Fire, 2300 Northeast Boulevard, Wilmington, DE 19802, with viewing from 3-4:45 pm only.

Interment will be in Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Bear, Delaware.
