James Franklin Jackson August 11, 1937 – January 19, 2019 Share this obituary Upload Photo| View/Sign Guest Book| Send Sympathy Card James Franklin Jackson, age 81, of Edwards, Missouri, departed this life on Saturday morning, January 19, 2019 at his home. He fought a courageous battle with cancer. James entered this life on August 11, 1937, in Anderson, Missouri, the son of the late Obea and Elsie (O’Daniel) Jackson.

He was united in marriage to Della Darlene Wilson on August 31, 1956, at Miami, Oklahoma. He worked at the Hesse Corporation in Kansas City, Missouri, retiring as Plant Manager in 1990 and then moving to their home near Edwards coming from Independence, Missouri. James served as Master of Albert Pike Lodge #219 in 1977 and 1978.

He served as Worthy Patron with his wife, Della, as Worthy Matron of Adella Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star in 1978. He also served as Chapter Dad of Independence Chapter Order of DeMolay and took the chapter to Dallas, Texas, in 1978 as National Champions. After retiring, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and running his trot line.

James was a member of the First Baptist Church of Climax Springs, Missouri and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by a brother ,Garlin Jackson, sisters, Essie Krupinki, Verna May Brook, Bonnie Bernard and Ola Martin. James is survived by his wife Della, of the home, his children James (Betty) Jackson of Edwards, Missouri, Pamela (Byron) Wrinkle, Buckner, Missouri, Sharon (Dirk) Dean, of Blue Springs, Missouri, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

He is also survived by his sisters, Mary Lou Motley, of Sedalia, Missouri, and Launa Parker, of Kansas City, Missouri, his brothers, Tom Jackson, of Edwards, Bill Jackson, of Blue Springs, Missouri, a host of other family and friends. Funeral services for James will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at the First Baptist Church of Climax Springs, Missouri. A dinner for family and friends will be held at 11:00 A.M. at the church with a visitation one hour prior to the service beginning at 12:00 P.M. Burial will be in the Cable Ridge Cemetery near Edwards.

Memorial contributions in his honor can be made to the Truman Lake Cancer Fund. Arrangements are entrusted to the Reser Funeral Home of Warsaw, Missouri.
