Wellsville, OH. James L. “Leo” Jobe, 83 of Wellsville, passed away peacefully at his home while in the care of his loving family on Saturday, January 12, 2019, after bravely confronting his cancer for the past several years. Leo was a son of the late Labern Leo Jobe and Hazel M. Boggs Jobe.

He was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Frances Imogene “Jean” Malone. Born on February 16, 1935, in Ashland, Kentucky, Leo came to Wellsville as a young boy. Leo lived his life dedicated to his family, they were always priority number one.

His memories will live on in their hearts and minds forever. He shared a wonderful life with his wife, Patricia Lynn Weston Jobe who survives at home. They were married on April 26, 1954.

They have passed along their deep sense of family values to their children, Crystal McCormick and husband, Neal of Wellsville, Chicki Saracco and husband, Randy of East Liverpool, and Cassie Manahan of Wellsville. Leo was one of nine children, Billy Jobe of East Liverpool, Charles (Linda) Malone of California, Pam Mosley of Virginia Beach, Fannie Smith of California, and Margaret (Dan) Osburne of Wellsville survive him. Jack (Louann) Jobe, Tommy Malone, and Doris Kothmann passed prior to Leo.

Also, suffering a deep sense of loss are his grandchildren, Cori (Matt) Hurst, Kelly (Nate) Bishop, Lauren (Paul) Talbott, Valerie (David) Keyes, Natalie (Andrew Garver) Saracco, Alexa (Philip) Paolo, and Jobey Manahan. Eleven great-grandchildren survive as well. Leo worked 29 years at Crucible Steel in Midland, retiring from the Chem Lab.

A member of the East Liverpool First United Methodist Church, he was a huge Ohio State and Cleveland Browns fan. Also, Leo was a member of the Tri-State Boot and Saddle Club. Memorial contributions may be made in Leo’s name to the First United Methodist Church in East Liverpool at 200 West Fifth St., East Liverpool, OH.
