James Richard Reece January 04, 1952 – February 23, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences James Richard Reece, 67, Elizabethton passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019 in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. A native of Carter County he was a son of the late William E. & Okie Campbell Reece. He was a graduate of Hampton High School.

He was a retired employee of American Water Heater. Mr. Reece was a member of the Elizabethton Full Gospel Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter: Amanda Lynn Reece.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years: Brenda Tester Reece. His Children: Taria Friesland & husband Calvin, Glade Valley, North Carolina, Heather Coleman, Charleston, West Virginia and Adam Reece & wife Jilian, Elizabethton. Seven Grandchildren: Carter Reece, Cole Reece, Cash Reece, Charlie Reece, Clara Friesland, Bri Coleman and Jessica Penley.

His Siblings: D.W. Reece & wife Dorothy, Elwanda Shupe & Husband Mitchell, Bobby Reece, Leonard Reece & wife Sheila, Cecil Reece, Wayne Reece & wife Linda, Sharie Hicks, Karen Yates, Anita Blackwell and Martha Vines. Several nieces & nephews. There will be a gathering of family and friends for a visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
