Meredith Randal Hyder September 09, 1957 – February 09, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences Meredith Randal “Randy” Hyder, 61, Watauga passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019 in the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born September 9, 1957 in Elizabethton. Randy was a 1975 graduate of Happy Valley High School.

He was employed as a Millwright. He was a member of Sl agle’s United Methodist Church. Randy loved working with wood, was a NASCAR Fan and an avid UT Vol Fan.

He was preceded in death by his father: Worley Hyder in 1998 and his father-in-law: Kyle Hyder. Survivors include his wife of 37 years: Diane Hyder. His Mother: Jane Morton Hyder, Elizabethton, his brother: Calvin Hyder & friend Robyn, Johnson City, a sister: Lawana (Tony) Slagle, Elizabethton.

Five Nieces: His Uncle & Aunt: Jack & Kathy Morton a special cousin: Dennis & Kay Geisler. His Mother-In-Law: Eddie Hyder and his Brother-In-Law: Jeff Hyder and fiancé Misty. Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev.

Lu Crandall and Rev. Mike Berry officiating. The Eulogy will be given by Joey Campbell.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Calvin Hyder, Mike Bellamy, Joey Campbell, Paul Debter, Tim Hilton, Harley Horton, Randy Miller and Jeff Hyder. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at his residence.
