James Webster “Jim” Tasker, 55, of Taneytown, MD died peacefully on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born January 8, 1963 in Westminster, he was the son of Rosanna (Stemple) Tasker of Hampstead and the late Webster Tasker. He was the husband of Angie (Haney) Tasker.

Jim was a self-employed mason and worked with several local construction firms. He attended Mayberry First Church of God. Jim loved to steam crabs and cook.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid fan of the Baltimore Ravens, the Baltimore Orioles and NASCAR racing. Surviving, in addition to his wife Angie and his mother, are daughters, Jessica Tasker and fiancé Ryan Ferraro of Savannah, GA, and Julie Tasker and fiancé Bobby Bowman of Taneytown; sisters, Tammy Tasker and companion Theron Hann of Hanover, PA, Tabatha Baker and husband Dan of Winchester, VA, and Roxanne Goins and husband Ken of Westminster; grandchildren, TJ & Joshua Vance and Kevin Tasker; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. on Friday, November 16, 2018 at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD 21787 with Pastor David M. Dulaney officiating.

The family will receive friends 3-5 and from 7 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will take place on Saturday, November 17th at Taskers Cemetery near Oakland, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to help defray funeral expenses may be made to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home at the above address.
