James’ Obituary James W. Davis James William Davis, age 70, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Thursday, March 28, 2019 in a local hospital surrounded by his family. Mr. Davis was born October 17, 1948 in Clarksville, Texas, and lived most of his life in Texarkana. He was a retired electrician with Domtar Paper Mill in Ashdown, Arkansas.

James was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing with family and friends. He also was very competitive racing his dirt bike on weekends and special occasions. He loved to sit around the table and talk about old times with his friends reminiscing about their glory days playing football.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dub and Eunice Davis and one sister Jodonna. He is survived by the love of his life, Sheila Wilhite of Texarkana, Arkansas, three sons and two daughters-in-law, Matt and Tasha Davis of Amity, Arkansas, Scott and Christy Davis of Murfreesboro, Arkansas, Jeremy Davis of Nashville, Arkansas, two stepdaughter, DeeDee Kuykendall of Texarkana, Arkansas, Jennifer McDowell of Texarkana, Arkansas, one stepson, Johnny Wilhite, Jr. and his wife, Deana of Genoa, Arkansas, his grandchildren, Tori Davis, Erin Davis, Hannah Davis, Drew Davis, Kailey Davis, Jase Kuykendall, Hannah Kuykendall, Brooke White, Avery Kuykendall, John Kuykendall, Dalton McDowell, Brayden and Jocelyn Wilhite, Brittny Pickens and her husband, Dakota, Hunter Wilhite, one great granddaughter, Elizabeth Pickens and a host of friends and other relatives A celebration of James’ life will be 2:00 P. M. Sunday at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas Funeral Home with family and friends.
