James Phillip Wilson, II, 48 passed away September 1, 2018 at Providence Alaska Medical Center, Anchorage. His cremated remains will be spread in the Bering Sea and Pacific Ocean. James was born July 11, 1970 in Panorama City, California.

He graduated from Hondo High School in 1988. He has made his home in Homer, Alaska since 2006. James enjoyed salmon, crab and cod fishing; and research and exploration.

He loved, loved, loved Kharacters in Homer and all the good people there. He could fix anything and everything. He enjoyed woodworking, boats & photography.

He was an adventurer and world traveler. James was a Maui enthusiast, his most recent world travel was to Cambodia. His mother wrote: “My son, James loved traveling around the world and meeting people; just like his father before him”.

James is survived by his mother, Linda Wilson Grant, of Hondo, TX; sister, Lara Wilson Olivarez and her husband, Roland Olivarez of San Antonio, TX; brother, Andrew Grant of San Antonio, TX and aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, James Phillip Wilson (1970).
