Obituary for Janet A. Gamba Print Dateline Lawrenceville Janet A. Gamba passed away peacefully Saturday, November 17, 2018 with her loving husband and family by her side. Born in Hoboken, Janet grew up in Jersey City before moving to Lawrenceville 32 years Before her illness Janet was an exceptional athlete who enjoyed playing softball, bowling and coaching girls’ basketball. She was a member of the Bordentown Elks Lodge 2085 serving as the chairperson of Public Relations and served as Troop Leader for the Lawrence Ewing Trenton Girl Scouts.

But her greatest joy in life was traveling with her family to Disney, Myrtle Beach and Graceland. Janet was a mother figure to any and all children that entered her life. She loved spending time with her many nieces and nephews as well as being a mentor to neighborhood kids.

Janet had so much love in her heart that she fostered a very special child for several years, Jaylyn. Janet is predeceased by her father John A. Bertotti Sr She is survived by her husband, Louis Gamba Jr., her step daughter, Nancy Hoffman, her 3 step grandchildren, her mother, Joan Myers, her siblings, John (Becca) Bertotti, James (Stacey) Bertotti, Jodi Malloy (Anthony Trombino), step mother, Elizabeth Bertotti, her step siblings, Alnona, Marc, Mario.

And many nieces and nephews that will miss her dearly. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Janet’s memory to either the Bordentown Elks Special Children’s committee or to a charity of choice. A Celebration of Janet’s life will be held on Tuesday November 20th, 2018 6:00pm at the Shadyrest Bible C¬¬hurch 187 Crosswicks-Chesterfield Rd.
