Janet A. (Ruhlin) Riley, age 67 of Lindstrom passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 20, 2018 at the Fairview University Medical Center in Minneapolis. Janet was born on January 16, 1951 in Amery, Wisconsin to parents, William and Norma (Klopotek) Ruhlin. She was raised in the Almena area where she attended school and graduated from Barron High School in 1969.

She went onto study accounting/bookkeeping at Rick Lake Vocational School. She went back to work in 1988 as a paraprofessional for the Chisago Lakes Primary School until retiring in 2013.

She married Gary Riley on October 7, 1972 in Almena, Wisconsin. Janet loved sewing, crafts and flower gardening and enjoyed her time baking. She was the family historian working on the family history and genealogy.

She will be remembered by her family as a person who was selfless who cared about others and was a good listener. Janet is survived by her husband, Gary, children, Sean (Tiffany) Riley of Rosemount, Daniel of Lindstrom and Heather (Chris) Miller of North Branch; her sister, Beverly (Kenneth) Zirul of Oakdale and her three grandchildren, James, Gabby and Lily. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Norma.
