Tanya L. Schmidt, age 40 of Aurora passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Essentia Northern Pines Hospital in Aurora. Tanya was born on August 23, 1977 in Granite Falls, Minnesota to parents Steve and Connie (Steffen) Reinke. Tanya is survived by her son, Chayse (Sammi) Schmidt of New Bern, N.C.; daughter, Brooklynn Schmidt of Embarrass; her mother, Connie Junget of Sunrise; sisters, Gina (Joe) Berggren of Prior Lake and Jennifer (Matt) Lagua of Stacy; brother,… Read More » Steve (Brittany) Reinke of Forest Lake and her maternal grandmother, Juanita Steffen of North Branch.

She is preceded in death by her father Steve Reinke; maternal grandfather Lloyd Steffen and paternal grandparents, Elmer and LaVaughn Reinke. A private family service will be held.
