Janet’s Obituary Janet (Ulmer) Hess, 91, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; formerly of Santa Barbara and Pasadena, CA. entered into rest May 1, 2019 Tulsa, OK. She was the loving wife of the late E. Norman Hess who died in 1985.

Janet was born in Fountainville, PA to the late Lester Raymond Ulmer and Fietta Elizabeth Umstead. She was a graduate of Pottstown High School class of 1945 and continued her education at Bob Jones University 1947 and 1948. Janet graduated from East Stroudsburg State College in 1950 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education.

Janet moved to Santa Barbara, CA in 1954 and was employed as a medical secretary for the Santa Barbara Medical Clinic. Obtaining her certificate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California in 1962, she was then employed as a California Registered Physical Therapist. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. Luke’s Union Cemetery, 141 Main St., Dublin, PA.
