Janey L. McFall, age 77, of Grove, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at her home. She was born on December 16, 1941 in Boonville, Missouri to Charles and Margaret (Winkelmeyer) Holley. Janey graduated from Amos Alonzo Stagg High School in 1959 and received her Associates Degree in Business at Stockton College.

In June of 1967, Janey married the love of her life, Wayne McFall in Reno, NV. He preceded her in death in 1999. She was an Administrative Assistant at Mountain Home Public Schools in Mountain Home, AR for 28 years, where she was also a member of Real Life Church.

In 2014, Janey moved to Grove to be closer to her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the apple of her eye. She enjoyed nothing more than cheering for her granddaughter and grandson at their ballgames. Janey had an infectious smile that could light up a room and she was a walking, talking example of God’s love on a daily basis.

Known as “Grandma” to scores of teenagers, she was generous with hugs and with kind words. This world was, undoubtedly, a better place because Janey McFall was in it. Exercising at the Y, sewing, reading and caring for her farm animals were a few of the things that Janey enjoyed, but none of them as much she enjoyed her family.

Her family was truly her greatest treasure and she leaves a legacy of kindness, love and generosity that they will carry with them always. Janey is preceded in death by her father, and by her mother and step-father, her husband and 2 brothers. Left to cherish her memory: son, Thomas McFall and wife, Lori of Gassville, AR and daughter, Margery Hayes, granddaughter, Morgan Hayes and grandson, Chat Hayes all of Grove, and many loving family and friends.

The family request that donations be made to Grove High School Baseball or Grove High School Basketball in Janey’s memory. Visitation for family and friends will be from 5pm-7pm Friday, March 8 at Nichols-Stephens Funeral Service. Funeral services will be at 10am Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Grove’s First Baptist Church.

Graveside services will be at 1pm Sunday, March 10 at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Boonville, MO. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Janey Lou McFall please visit our Sympathy Store.
