Janice A. Franks-Morgan, 85, of Moline, passed away Monday January 21, 2019 at Amber Ridge Assisted Living, Moline. Services are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 29, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Moline, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be Wednesday at Deloit Cemetery, Deloit, Iowa.

Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Janice was born October 19, 1933 in Westside, Iowa, a daughter of Joseph and Erna Sommerfeldt Teckenburg. She married Raymond Morgan on May 19, 1990 in Moline, Ill.

He preceded her in death on August 15, 2008. Prior to her retirement, Janice was an L.P.N. at Trinity Medical Center for 57 years. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Moline and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.

Janice enjoyed gardening, flowers, collecting recipes and cooking. Surviving are her sons, Randy Parker, and his wife Tami, East Moline, Kevin Parker, Rock Island and Garth Parker, Moline; grandchildren, Alexander, Shandi and Misti Parker; brother, Daryl Teckenburg; sisters, Loa Teckenburg and Kathleen Miller; and many nieces, nephews, and other family. Janice was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, David, Dennis, Daniel and Donald Teckenburg; and sister, Martha Teckenburg.

Janice’s family and friends wish to express their thanks and appreciation to the staff of Amber Ridge for their kindness and care.
