CABRAL, Janice T. (Gaffney), 83, of Coventry, passed away peacefully at home in the arms of her daughter after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was the wife of the late Eugene Cabral Sr. and was the daughter of the late John E. Gaffney Sr. and Dorothy (Wilcox) Gaffney. Janice worked for Amtrol for close to 20 years before retiring.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and listening to country music. Janice leaves behind her daughter and caregiver, Crystal (Cabral) McKay of Coventry. She was the mother of the late Eugene Cabral Jr. of Coventry.

Also survived by 5 grandchildren, Amy (Cabral) Lawrence of Glocester, RI, Adam Cabral of Norwich, CT, Keith McKay Jr. of West Warwick and Talia McKay of Coventry and Ashton Gracie of Coventry; two great-grandchildren, Kacie and Colton Lawrence of Glocester, RI; 5 siblings, Gerald and Edward Gaffney of Coventry, Richard Gaffney of East Providence, Fay Cabral and Jacqueline Rossi, both of Coventry. She was a sister of the late John Gaffney Jr., Woodrow and Kenneth Gaffney and Frances Masse. Visitation will be held Monday morning, January 28, 2019 from 9:30 – 11:15 am in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.

117), Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 pm in SS. Peter & Paul Church, West Warwick. Interment will follow in SS.

Peter & Paul Cemetery, Coventry. In lieu of flowers, donations in Janice’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, Rhode Island Chapter (www. alz.org) would be appreciated.
