Obituary for Jared Miles Moore Frankfort – Jared Miles Moore, age 22, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018. Services will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Bob Karsner officiating.
Military Honors will be observed at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home by the Kentucky National Guard Funeral Honors Team. The family will receive friends at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. service time on Tuesday. Jared was born in Frankfort on February 1, 1996, to Robert Allen Rutherford (fiancée Crystal Brown) and Carrie Jean Moore West (Duker West).
He was an active member of the 1st Battalion, 149th Infantry of the Kentucky National Guard. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was a member of Mt.
Carmel Baptist Church. Jared worked hard with a head held high, and overcame any obstacles in life he may have faced. His work ethic and courageous and loving heart, led him to many achievements in life.
Above all, he loved his family dearly. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Emily Moore; and uncles, Babe Moore and Ronnie Moore. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his god-parents, Ronnie and Missy Ping; paternal grandmother, Wanda Lee Rutherford; step-brothers, Chris Hellard, Brandon Hardin, and Daniel Newby; special aunts and uncles, Charlie Moore, Charlene Mohr, Peggy Moore, and Billy Moore; special cousins, Jacob Moore, Patsy Moore, Amanda Carmack, Peeper Mohr and Emily Knight; and by his fiancée, Hannah Gould, and her parents, John and Jennifer Gould.
He was blessed with many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Serving pallbearers will be Active Members of the National Guard and Ronnie Ping. Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Hurd, Glen Dean and Ronnie Thomas.
Flowers are welcome and expressions of sympathy may be made in Jared’s honor to the Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund or the American Cancer Society.
