Beloved son, Jason Scott Davidson, age 38, passed away at his home on Thursday, May 9, 2019, surrounded by his devoted family. He was born on May 28, 1980 in Marshall, Texas. He is survived by his parents, whom he adored, Larry and Deannie (Vivian) Davidson; several uncles; one aunt; many cousins and his four legged companion, Jake.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Floyd and Lena Oney, Morris and Colleen Davidson; and several aunts and uncles. Jason was a very generous person and many were blessed by his friendship. His hobbies were woodworking, knife sharpening, gardening, fishing and hunting.

At the age of 12, Jason was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes, which affected him throughout his life. He lost one leg as a result of the diabetes, but it did not slow him. He still climbed ladders, getting on the roof when needed and even mowed the Church yard the Saturday before Easter because “a Church needs to look nice before Easter”.

Jason had worked as a machine operator for Carthage Cup Company, loved to tell jokes and was very social. He loved the Lord and was saved several years ago. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of Jason’s life will be held at Meadowbrook Funeral Home on Monday, May 20, 2019 at 4:00pm with Bro. Dick Sawyer officiating. Visitation will be held from 3pm-4pm on Monday, May 20, 2019 at Meadowbrook Funeral Home.

Jason’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to special friends, Tamara Aldridge and Marti Weaver who gave him comfort in his final days.
