Jayne Elizabeth Kalt, age 85, of Springboro, Ohio passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019 at The Garlands in Barrington, Illinois. Jayne was born on February 19, 1933 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Frederick Schmitz and Frances (Riedel) Schmitz. Jayne graduated from St. Joseph Commercial High School in 1951 and attended the College of Saint Theresa.

Jayne was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church in Dayton and most recently St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Along with her parents, Jayne was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Thomas Alan Kalt; three brothers, Paul Schmitz, Louis Schmitz, John Schmitz; four sisters, Eileen Schmitz, Dorothy Cull, Roberta Neff, Loretto Schmitz. She is survived by her son, Michael and her daughter-in-law, Melissa; her grandchildren, Michaella, Matthew, Micah, Mackenzie and Mary Katherine Kalt; as well as her nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 18, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Parish, 9579 Yankee Road, Springboro, Ohio 45066, with Father James Manning officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the church.
