Jeanette Navarre, age 83, of Bossier City, Louisiana, formerly of Hot Springs, died Monday, September 24, 2018. She was born on March 9, 1935, in Rayne, Louisiana, the daughter of Lozan Leger and Nola Dupont Leger. On December 23, 1951, she married James “Frenchie” Navarre, who preceded her in death on October 25, 2010.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Elmic Leger, Elmo Leger, Joe Leger and Johnny Leger; and one son-in-law, Billy Gray Davis. Jeanette was a homemaker and she attended Oaklawn Church of God. She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Warren and Denise Navarre of Hot Springs and Bradley Navarre of Port Aransas, Texas; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sharon and Rogie Wilson of Wills Point, Texas, Jackie Davis of Punta Gorda, Florida and Gayle and James Herndon of Haughton, Louisiana; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Elvin Leger of Fortuna, California; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 29, 2018, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs with Chaplain Rich Heffington officiating. Interment will be in Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until service time on Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Braden Navarre, Bradley Navarre, David Hamm, Jim Herndon, Shane Murphy and Isaac Navarre. Guest registry is at www. davis-smith.com.
