Frankie L. Akin, age 84, of Hot Springs, died Tuesday, September 18, 2018. She was born on March 15, 1934, in Buckville, the daughter of Willie Cecil Loyd and Mary Frances Thompson Loyd. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bill Loyd and John Andy Loyd; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Annette Duncan, Donna and Warren Campbell and Donnie Scott.

Frankie was Baptist in faith. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Deanna Akin of Purcell, Oklahoma and Darren and Lisa Akin of New Port Richey, Florida; one daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Jerry Meredith of Owasso, Oklahoma; twelve grandchildren, Cody Akin, Cash Forster, Taylor Akin, Alyssa Edens, Allison Akin, Amanda Akin, David Faniglula, Tanner Osborne, Layne Wadlow, Crystal Bethell, Devin Meredith and Kaileb Meredith; five great-grandchildren, Annalise Akin, Lilah Akin, Ethan Edens, Colben Wray and Ashley Wray; one sister, Linda Scott of Mountain Pine; one brother-in-law, Joe Duncan of Haymarket, Virginia; one sister-in-law, Sue Loyd of Hot Springs; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of wonderful friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 20, 2018, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs with Kelly Morgan and Bro.

Kevin McDaniel officiating. Interment will be in Scott Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday evening.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Scott, Johnny Scott, Carlton Scott, James Edens, Len Meeker and Gary Beckham. Honorary pallbearers will be Colt Sharp, Daniel Bailey, Brandon Henson, the staff of Quapaw Health and Rehab. And the staff of Kindred Hospice.
