Jeanette Delia (Burrow) Roark, age 83, of Crystal Springs, died Friday, October 26, 2018. She was a Christian in faith, born on June 12, 1935 in Poyen, the daughter of Coe Wyatt Burrow and Rose Ellen (Nichols)Burrow. On August 5, 1955, she married Burl Roark.

She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; brother, Clinton Burrow; and sister, Helen (Burrow) Holiman. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in 1956 and Master’s degree in Education at Henderson State University in 1973. She served as a teacher and guidance counselor for many school districts across the state of Arkansas including, Glenwood, Caddo Hills, Decatur, Bearden, Poyen, Dumas, and Hermitage.

After retiring from Education, Burl and Jeanette owned and operated Burl’s Country Smokehouse in Crystal Springs for 37 years. Although Jeanette enjoyed crafting and cooking, she was known for her pursuit of traveling to historical & unique places. She was a business woman, mentor and the most loving wife, mother, & grandmother.

Jeanette was an avid sports fan and loved watching the Arkansas Razorbacks and the NBA. She is survived by son, Burl Sanders (Sandy)Roark II of Crystal Springs; daughters, Karen Martin Caspermeyer of Bentonville and Kimberly Roark of Crystal Springs; six grandchildren, Alexandria Ferguson, Zan Martin, Sanders Roark III, Hunter Roark, Brandy Roark, and Jenna Roark; four great grandchildren; numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews; and a host of wonderful friends. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, October 29, 2018, at Lowe Cemetery with Ersel Hull-McDaniel officiating.
