Carroll Lee Pyron, Jr., age 84, of Hot Springs, died Monday, October 15, 2018. He was born on October 26, 1933, in Little Rock, the son of Carroll Lee Pyron, Sr. and Gillee Ingram Pyron. On January 22, 1962, he married Mary Catherine Mason Pyron, who preceded him in death on June 16, 2012.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; one son-in-law, Tom Hughes, Sr.; his brother, Jerry G. Pyron; and his sister, Mary Hynson. Carroll Lee was the owner of Pyron Fence Company. At age 17, he entered the Navy and served in the Korean War.

Following his military service, he returned home and graduated from Lake Hamilton High School at age 21. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a huge sports fan and loved the Dallas Cowboys and St. Louis Cardinals.

You were not to call if there was football, baseball, basketball or golf on television. Carroll Lee is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, David Lee Pyron of Hot Springs and William and Dianna Hutzel of Norman, Oklahoma; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sherry Hughes of Pearcy, Sherry and Booty Owens of Blanchard, Oklahoma and Janice and Brent Owens of Moore, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Diana Pyron of Spring Hill, Tennessee; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of wonderful friends. Services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, October 19, 2018, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.

Interment will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday evening. Honorary pallbearers will be CHI St. Vincent Home Health, CHI St. Vincent Hospital, Hot Springs, Dr. Robert Kleinhenz’s and his staff, Arkansas Heart Hospital, and dear friend Wayne Harvey.
