Shirley Ann Ault, age 73, of Pearcy, passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018. She was born January 1, 1945 in Caruthersville, Missouri to Robert Hicks and Lillie Thornton Hicks. On October 12, 1991, she married Lonnie Ault.

With her nurturing spirit, Shirley taught Elementary school at Lake Hamilton for many years until her retirement. She loved hunting and fishing and had a soft heart for all animals. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Hicks, and step-father Dan Day.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Lonnie Ault of Pearcy; her mother, Lillie Day of Caruthersville, MO; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and wife Alicia Holcomb of Pearcy and Josh and wife Jessica Ault of Royal; two daughters and sons-in-law, Diana Holcomb Van Houten and husband Scott of Hot Springs and Dana Holcomb Gilbert and husband Tony of Hot Springs Village; seven grandchildren, Whitney Scudder, Trey Scudder, Tracker Ault, Shelby Ault, Karmen Ault, Hayden Holcomb, and Jessica Gilbert; two great-grandchildren, Lilly and J. J. Scudder; three brothers, Robert Hicks, Richard Hicks, and Tommy Day; and three sisters, Betty Kemble, Peggy Fraschetti, and Jacque Putnam, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, December 3, 2018 at Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs, with Bro. George Vincent officiating.
