Danny Smith Vaughn, age 74, of Pearcy, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. He was born on January 12, 1944, in Glenwood, the son of Hilrey Vaughn and Rosa Lee Burchfield Vaughn. On June 5, 1964, he married JoAnne Coffman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Odell Vaughn. Danny was a member of the Airport Road Church of Christ where he served as a deacon and elder for over 30 years. He retired from Southwestern Bell after 26 years of service.

He was a strong man of faith and an example to everyone who knew him. Danny devoted his life to his family and church. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Danny is survived by his wife of 54 years, JoAnne Vaughn of Pearcy; his daughter, Paige Vaughn of Pearcy; his son, Chad Vaughn of Hot Springs; one grandson, Haden Vaughn of Hot Springs; his sister, Jo Nell Driggers of Pearcy; one nephew, Tom (Gina) Driggers of Fayetteville; numerous extended family members and a host of wonderful friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, November 12, 2018 in the Airport Road Church of Christ with Jack Smith and Festus Ugbade officiating. Interment will be in Mount Tabor Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM, Sunday afternoon, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be the elders of Airport Road Church of Christ, Tim Togami, Alan Dishongh, Glen Barber, Bill Brannon, Donnie Pogue, Jr. and Festus Ugbade. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Airport Road Church of Christ.
