Jimmie Jester, age 81, of Fort Smith, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018. He was born on January 4, 1937 in Glenwood, the son of Rubin Jester and Irene Currie Jester. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Denise Jester; and his brother, Ellis Jester.

He was a 32nd degree Mason, loved NASCAR, fishing and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and Eagles Club. He was Baptist in his faith.

Jimmie left behind two sons, Dennis Jester and wife, Roxane, and Keith Jester; two daughters, Dee “Mac” Jester-Helms and husband, Jeff, and Nicki “Harry” Ludlow and husband, Brian; one brother, Gary “Butch” Jester; and two sisters, Joyce Berryman and Kay Brooks; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 30, 2018, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. John Goodman officiating.

Interment will be in Mount Tabor Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dennis Jester, Keith Jester, Devin Jester, Jeff Helms, Brian Ludlow and Jamie Cotton. Guest registry is at www.
