Vera Lee Pettis, age 77, of Malvern, died Wednesday, October 31, 2018. She was born on January 14, 1941, in Hot Springs, the daughter of Joshua Samules and Margaret Alice Henderson Samules. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Larry Samules, Clinton Samules, Joshua Samules and Eddie Samules; and two sisters, JoAnn Samules and Christina Ferrell.

She was a former member of Greenwood Baptist Church in Hot Springs. She is survived by one son, Fredrick Pettis of Hot Springs; one daughter, Glenda Jackson of Seattle, Washington; one grandson, Stephen Pettis of Little Rock; one sister, Arkie Roberts of Ypsilanti, Michigan and one brother-in-law, John Ferrell of Flint, Michigan. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Friday evening.
