Rita Sue Tackett, age 84, of Tucson, Arizona, formerly of Glenwood, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018. She was born on September 4, 1934, in Silver, Arkansas, the daughter of Curtis Arvil Bryant and Lula Powell Bryant. On November 28, 1953, she was married to Louie D. “L.D.” Tackett, Sr., who preceded her in death on July 30, 2016.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Louie D. “Dave” Tackett, Jr.; and her parents. She was Presbyterian in her faith, a member of the Eastern Star, attended Lyons College and a housewife. Rita was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, whose greatest joy in life was spending time with her family.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William A. and Marie T. Tackett of Tucson, Arizona; two grandchildren, Stefanie L. Fullmer and Jeffrey M. Fullmer; two great-grandchildren, Bruce and Bryan; one brother and sister-in-law, Arvil L. and Elsie Bryant; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Janice and Holly Bond and Patsy and Bob Morphew; her brother-in-law, Clifford Tackett; her sister-in-law, Laura M. Wagner and her husband, Larry; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 6, 2018, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with Bro.

Bobby Lock officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM, prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Howton Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James Lee Bryant, Tony Morphew, John Morphew, Adam Baker. Guest registry is at www. davis-smith.com.
