Mary Ruth Broadwell Knabe, age 77, of Hot Springs, died Tuesday, October 23, 2018. She was born on February 14, 1941, in Little Rock, the daughter of Francis Gorecke and Nellie Turley Gorecke. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, James Gorecke, Donald Gorecke and Robert Gorecke.

Mary was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and she will be missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Carl Knabe, of Hot Springs; one son and daughter-in-law, Harry, Jr. and Lisa Broadwell of Maumelle; one daughter and son-in-law, Aimee and Rev.

Scott Gilbreth of Dumas; two grandchildren, Makayla Gilbreth and Ty Parker Gilbreth, both of Dumas; one sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Glenn Shirley of Indian Trail, North Carolina; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of wonderful friends. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, October 26, 2018, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs with Rev. Scott Gilbreth officiating.

Interment will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday evening. Guest registry is at www.
