Jeannie F. (Nye) Saunders Jeannie Nye Saunders, 87, passed away February 9, 2019. She was born January 18, 1932 in Bonham, Texas to Homer and Willie (Robert) Franklin. She married Stephen James Nye on April 3, 1948, he preceded her in death.

She married Gilbert R. Saunders on February 20, 1999, he also preceded her in death. Jeannie was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a member of Neighbor of Woodcraft Ogden Branch.

She worked at LR Samuels and Auerbachs, Fred M. Nye Co., ZCMI and Weinstocks. She volunteered at Ogden Regional Hospital. She enjoyed oil painting, crocheting, sewing, reading, beading, camping, fishing and traveling.

Her life revolved around her husbands, children and grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Jeannie is survived by her children Christina (James) Jensen, Stephanie (Forrest) Maw and Stephen (Beverly) Nye; 15 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husbands; parents; a brother and sister.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. where viewings will be held on Friday, February 15th from 6 to 8 p.m. and prior to the service from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
