Obituary for Jennie Marie Strader Jennie Marie Strader, 86, died on Saturday, April 7, 2018 in her residence in Brownsville, Texas. Jennie was born in Tyler, Texas, to Estelle and William Bremer. Estelle was widowed when Jennie was very young and married Robert Oaks who raised her as his own in Lyford, Texas.

Jennie moved to Brownsville, Texas where she raised her children and worked for Southwestern Bell until she retired after 32 years of service and took care of her mother until her mother’s death. Jennie was a very humble woman who loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all her heart. Jennie never met a stranger and always thought of others before herself.

Jennie was preceded in death by her parents, father William Bremer, mother Estelle Oaks, step-father Robert Oaks, brothers, George Fredrick Oaks, Robert Oaks Jr. and sister, Dorothy Ryherd. She is survived by her children Rhonda (Larry)Cantu and Kerry Strader, grandchildren, George F. Strader, Marsha (Justin) Berringer, Lisa (Bryan) Berletch. Great-grandchildren; Brooklyn, Logan and Madison Strader, Elliot and Jaxon Barringer, sister Tillie (Robert) Rhodes.

Visitation will be held April 10 at Duddlesten Funeral Home, 604 W. Hidalgo Ave. , Raymondville from 6 to 8 p.m. family will receive guest at 7 p.m.Tuesday evening. Funeral services will be April 11th at 10:00a.m. at Duddlesten Funeral Home with Rev.

Mary Lyn Sanders officiatin. Burial will follow at the Lyford. Evergreen Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Oaks, Richard Oaks, Larry Oaks, David Oaks, George F. Oaks, Ronnie Ryherd. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Duddlesten Funeral Home 604 W. Hidalgo Ave. Raymondville, Texas.
