Obituary for Mr. Jerry Charles Evatt Mr. Jerry Charles Evatt, 82, of 801 S. Cherry Street, Seneca, SC, passed away Friday, April 13, 2018 at GHS Cottingham Hospice House. A native of Fountain Inn, SC, Mr. Evatt was the son of the late Rev. John Dacus and Jessie Dee Brown Evatt.

He retired from Kendall Manufacturing, was a U.S. Army Veteran, and a member of Oakway Wesleyan Church. Mr. Evatt is survived by his son: Gary Evatt of Camden, SC; daughter: Cynthia Nix of Seneca, SC; two sisters: Ann Watt of Anderson, SC and Joyce McKinney of Spartanburg, SC; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, Mr. Evatt is preceded in death by a grandson: Trey Hunter Evatt; two brothers: Gene and James Evatt; and a sister: Sylvia Massey.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, on Monday, April 16, 2018, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Monday prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Oconee Hospice of the Foothills GHS Cottingham Hospice House, Attn: Foundation Office, 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC 29672.
