Jerry D. Valetta August 25, 1943 October 17, 2018 Tucson- Jerry D. Valetta, 75, of Huachuca City, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. Jerry, son of the late Walter and Minnie (Miller) Valetta was born in Renovo, Pennsylvania on August 25, 1943. Jerry was raised and educated in Renova.

He served his country for 7 years with the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Jerry received his Associates Degree in Sociology from Grossmount Community College in San Diego, California. Jerry has resided in Hauchuca City for the past 13 years and was a member of the VFW of Sierra Vista.

Jerry is survived by his wife Darlene (Boyd) Valetta; three sons, George Valetta, Mark Valetta, and Walton Morris; two daughters, Corrine Hart and La Nora Hurley; a brother, Jay Valetta (Linda); Nine grandchildren and a great grandson. A memorial service for Jerry will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Hatfield Funeral Home, 830 South Highway 92, Sierra Vista. Military honors will follow the service.

A visiting hour for Jerry will precede his service from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. Interment will be private in Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Sierra Vista.
