Jesse “Ed” Edward Riggs, Jr. July 20, 1941 – September 22, 2018 Sierra Vista- Jesse “Ed” Riggs, Jr.,77, of Sierra Vista passed away peacefully with his wife Judith by his side on Saturday, September 22, 2018. Ed, son of Jesse E. and Louise E. (Smalley) Riggs was born in Corning, Arkansas on July 20, 1941. He was raised in Doniphon, Missouri and graduated from North High School.

He attended Cal Tech and then received his bachelor’s degree from ASU in Museum Studies. Ed worked for TransAmerica Title Insurance and several other title companies for 50 plus years. This included Title Service and Escrow in Nevada and Pioneer Title Agency in Sierra Vista.

Ed resided in Payson, and Phoenix, AZ, Yerington, Nevada and in Sierra Vista for the past 16 years. He enjoyed reading, historical research, along with genealogy research. Ed is survived by his wife Judith L. (Schorpp) Riggs; his father-in-law, Robert R. Schorpp; a brother, James M. Riggs and his wife Cynthia; along with many nieces and nephews.

All services for Ed will be private. Hatfield Funeral Home, of Sierra Vista, has been entrusted with arrangements.
