Bud’ Charles Wesley Buerkle October 3, 1933 – October 30, 2018 “Bud” Charles Wesley Buerkle, 85, of Hereford passed away October 30, 2018 at Cornerstone Hospital in Tucson Arizona. Bud, one of three children, was born October 3, 1933 to Wesley and Fern (Bradley) Buerkle in Bakersfield, Ca. He attended Cal Poly with classes based in agriculture.

In 1956 Bud married Judy (Little) Buerkle, they had children and later divorced. While living in Buttonwillow, Bud worked as a used car salesman until he was able to farm full time. He purchased land in Buttonwillow and The Marisol Company would grow into Empire Farming with the main crop being cotton.

Bud was always very involved in the community, in Buttonwillow as a member of the local cotton gin and the Lions club; in Arizona he would drive his tractors in the local parades, often as Santa Clause or Uncle Sam. Bud was very mechanical and a true Entrepreneur always wondering what he could achieve next. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Jerry; survived by his Sons Brad Buerkle (Dondria) Buttonwillow, Ca; Mathew Buerkle, Hereford, AZ; and daughter Kimberly DeBuhr, Rock Port, Mo; 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, Sister Bobbe Powers and longtime companion Rose.

A family graveside service is forthcoming.
