Obituary for Jessie Lee Woods Jessie Lee Woods of Ankeny Jessie was born November 9, 1967 to Ruth and Oren Woods in Kansas City, Missouri. She enjoyed being actively involved in her daughter’s softball pursuits, spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends. Jessie had a passion for scrapbooking.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Bailey; her daughters, Jordin (Josh) Gordon, Jasmin Bailey and Jaydin Bailey; her step children, Quentin (Amanda) Bailey, Ashley (Gavino) Jacobs and Brandon (Emmy) Jacobs; her sisters, Zela (Larry) Owens, Edith (Carey) Britt and Janice (Mike) Burrow; and her mother, Ruth Hansett; and 13 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Or-en Woods and his wife, Maxine. Celebration of Life Service will be 3PM Friday, Feb-ruary 23, 2018 at Merle Hay Funeral Home, 4400 Merle Hay Road in Des Moines, Iowa.
